As of April 8, 2020, CEPI reports 115 vaccine candidates are in varying stages of development, 78 of which are confirmed as active and 37 are unconfirmed. To end the COVID-19 Pandemic safe and effective vaccines will be required for the entire global population. Estimated requirement: 5 billion doses.
